#44. Try 25 New Restaurants in Portland

New Restaurant #21... Buffalo Wild Wings

Okay, I might be one of the only people on the planet who had never been to Buffalo Wild Wings, but now I have, and it's fun, and a good environment, but I'm not dying to go back. I'd actually probably go to Hooters again before BWW.

It wasn't terrible, it just wasn't anything to get super excited about. They do have great wings, but I thought the presentation was weird. They brought everything out in paper dishes, and it just seemed so juvenile. When you order wings, you get a side of veggies, and I'm not kidding, Dan and I were each served 2 carrot sticks and 2 celery sticks in a flimsy paper dish. It seemed very "high school cafeteria" to me.

We don't even have a BWW near us, we had to make a special trip downtown last spring (April) so I could check out the Niketown store for a work project. BWW is right around the corner from Niketown in Downtown Portland, so after my Nike errand, we had lunch.

I almost forgot to blog about this experience, that's how unmemorable it was. Sorry, Buffalo Wild Wings. I've written a positive post for the other 20 restaurants, someone was bound to fail to meet my high expectations. Better luck next time.  Yes, I said "Next time"... I haven't sworn you off forever, so there's still hope for you yet.
