#59. Paint a piece at a professional pottery painting place

For my mom's birthday, Dan and I gave her a Groupon to Paint 'n' Fire! in West Linn.  My mom loves to paint her own pieces, so I thought she was the perfect person to do this with.  We spent two different afternoons at the studio and we each painted a plate.  My mom did a large round platter with a sunflower in the middle, and I painted a small square plate with a whimsical design and the letter M in the middle.  We had a really fun time together, and saw so many fun things that we wanted to do in the future.  This definitely won't be the last time I paint at a pottery place.  Here we are with our finished pieces...

Also, my mom and I both LOVED Paint 'n' Fire.  We met the owner and learned a lot of techniques from her. I would highly recommend her store for a place to paint a piece of your own.

Can't wait to go back and work on more pieces, and even a couple of gift ideas for family and friends!
