#47. Say 'Yes' to 3 things I'd normally say 'No' to

#2.  Fish Tacos for Dinner

You might be thinking... "so the first thing she normally says no to is a half marathon, and the second is fish tacos?  Those aren't even close to the same kind of commitment."  And you're right. But when I came up with this idea for my list, I really didn't even see myself doing something as big as the half marathon.   I was more thinking 3 things on the fish-taco-level any way.  Also, the more I look for things to do to complete this item on my list, the more I realize, there really aren't a lot of things I'd say no to.  I'm a really open-minded person.  I'll try a lot of things at least once.

So this might be an anti-climatic post, but while we were in Hawaii, I went out of my comfort zone, and ordered fish tacos for dinner.  I do like fish, but I'm really picky about it.  And I've always been wary of fish tacos.  I can't say why really, but I think it's simply because the two things don't really sound like they go together.  In my mind, fish + tacos is like steak + spaghetti.  The meat doesn't really seem to fit quite right.

But Maui seemed like a good place to be open-minded about fish tacos, and we got a recommendation from our friends Kelly & Cody to go to Leilani's for the best fish tacos ever.  I trust them so I ordered the fish tacos for dinner on our first night in Maui.

I absolutely loved them so much that we went back to the same restaurant a couple nights later and I had the same dinner.  Fish tacos again!  YUM!

Gotta love self portraits when you're on vacation!

  1. I'm so glad you tried it and liked it! Cause if there are fish tacos an any menu I'll order the fish tacos, just about, EVERY time. I'm obsessed with them! However the best simple fish tacos are always at Baja Fresh!
